Flood damage in Alexandria home

These photos are from a flood that occurred in the spring of 2017. The home is in a flood plain. Due to the contaminated nature of the water we were required to cut the sheet rock 4 feet up. Once the demolition was complete we used a combination of air-movers and dehumidifiers to create an optimum drying environment. Many of their contents were unsalvageable but those that could be salvaged were brought back to our shop and dried in a drying chamber. We sanitized the exposed studs and floors with an anti-microbial agent and the cleanup process took only a few days to the surprise of the homeowner.
